Huế, a city in central Vietnam, is renowned for its rich history and cultural heritage as the former imperial capital of the Nguyễn dynasty. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Huế is home to a vast complex of palaces, temples, and pavilions surrounded by thick stone walls and a moat. Key attractions include the ancient Forbidden Purple City, the grand tombs of the emperors, and the Thiên Mụ Pagoda, which offers panoramic views of the Perfume River. The city also showcases traditional Vietnamese art and architecture.
